Burbank SD 111 board enters closed session on personnel, reconvenes with no motions

Secretary Agnieszka Dabrowski conducted roll call and confirmed the seven board members were present. District administrators in attendance included Superintendent Dr. Franzy Fleck, Assistant Superintendent for Business & Finance Dr. Ana Ochoa, Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning Kristin Welsh and Director of Curriculum & Instruction Michaela Faust.
During the public-comment portion of the meeting, Dr. Shwkar Abousweilem, identified in the record as a principal, requested to speak to the board during closed session about personnel matters. The board subsequently voted to enter closed session for that purpose under the cited Illinois statute.
The board reconvened in open session at 10:09 p.m. President Swistowicz asked whether any motions were to be made from closed session; none were presented. Vice President Jansen moved to adjourn the meeting; Member Gregory Komperda seconded. A roll-call vote again recorded seven ayes, and President Swistowicz adjourned the meeting at 10:10 p.m.
