The Milan City Council on June 17, 2025, adopted Resolution 2025-12, revising the city’s Official Fee Schedule to take effect July 1, 2025, and approved proposed budget amendments for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
Councilmember Thompson moved to adopt Resolution 2025-12 and Councilmember Kerkes seconded. The roll-call vote recorded six ayes and one absent; the resolution carried. Councilmember Thompson then moved to approve the proposed fiscal-year amendments and Councilmember Kofflin seconded; that motion carried unanimously.
The fee schedule adoption and budget amendments were considered under Matters for Action. The adopted fee schedule takes effect July 1, 2025; the meeting record does not specify line‑by‑line fee changes or the fiscal impact by department. A resident, Danette Talbot, had raised concerns during public comment earlier in the meeting about an increase to special-event fees; Mayor Pro-Tem Wayne acknowledged that concern during staff and council remarks.
Council also approved routine financial items at the meeting, including payment of bills and payroll totaling $390,894.52. Councilmember Kofflin moved and Councilmember Kerkes seconded approval of the bills as presented; the motion carried unanimously.
No additional amendments or abstentions were recorded in the minutes. The council noted Parks and Recreation will evaluate procedures tied to some park requests and return recommendations, which may inform future fee or maintenance decisions.
The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, 2025; the agenda submission deadline is June 25.
