Clovis Unified approves audit, deferred maintenance plan and certifies Measure A oversight continuation
Summary
The Governing Board approved the annual financial audit for June 30, 2024; adopted the 2025–26 Deferred Maintenance Program; and was asked to adopt Resolution No. 4026 certifying the Nov. 5, 2024 Measure A bond election and continuing the Citizens’ Oversight Committee.
The Clovis Unified Governing Board approved several financial and administrative items on Jan. 15, 2025, including the annual Financial Audit Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and the Deferred Maintenance Program for 2025–26. Motions were approved unanimously (7-0).
The Board was also presented with Resolution No. 4026 to certify to the Fresno County Board of Supervisors the proceedings in the Nov. 5, 2024 General Obligation Bond Election and to continue the Measure A Citizens’ Oversight Committee. That resolution was listed on the information agenda for continuation of oversight; the minutes indicate the item for certification was included among informational items.
Other administrative approvals and information items included authorization of signature authorities for financial registers, an increase to the Soliant Health, LLC contract for ASL interpreters, an agreement with Hanna Interpreting Services, increased contracts for two non-public schools to continue IEP services, an annual agreement with School Services of California for legislative advocacy, and authorization to engage Darden Architects for Nelson Elementary School modernization design services.
In closed session the Board announced approval of the appointment of Brent Dettman to Gateway High School Principal; that appointment and other personnel and student-discipline matters were reported as approved by vote.
