Resident urges town to maintain Snowflake Heights Boulevard

Kent Hales, a property owner on Snowflake Heights Boulevard, told the Town of Snowflake council during public comment on Feb. 3 that the first mile of the road is paved but that, after the cattle guard, the roadway is dirt and not maintained. Hales asked the council to consider grading the unpaved portion or adding aggregate base (AB) now, and to consider paving in the long term as new building continues in the area.
Hales framed the request as a local infrastructure issue affecting residents on Snowflake Heights Boulevard and asked the council to take the condition into account when planning maintenance priorities. The council did not take immediate action on the request during the meeting; the comment was recorded during the public-comment portion of the agenda.
The council approved several other agenda items that evening, including audit acceptance, zoning actions and equipment purchases; there was no recorded vote tied to Hales's request.
