Commissioners held a public hearing; no members of the public called in or spoke. Commissioner (speaker 5) moved to recommend the amendment to the City Commission and the motion was supported and approved by the commission. The chair completed a roll call and announced the motion passed.
The amendment is a recommended ordinance change; the Planning Commission’s action sends the proposal to the City Commission for consideration and any further public process. The Planning Commission did not set an effective date; next procedural steps and final adoption would be determined by the City Commission.
