Waupaca County accepts 33.67‑acre conservation easement in Town of Dayton

By unanimous vote the county board accepted a voluntary conservation easement of 33.67 acres from the Jane E. Haasch Revocable Trust into the county’s Voluntary Conservation Easement Donation Program and charged the Land and Water Conservation Department with monitoring compliance.
Waupaca County supervisors on March 19 unanimously accepted a voluntary conservation easement donation of 33.67 acres in the Town of Dayton.
Resolution No. 40 places the Jane E. Haasch Revocable Trust property into the Waupaca County Voluntary Conservation Easement Donation Program after finding the parcel meets the county’s Chapter 47 requirements and the county’s Year 2030 Comprehensive Plan goals to protect viable farm and forest lands. The resolution was recommended by the county Land & Water Conservation Committee and the Legislative, Judicial, Ethics, Safety & Security Committee.
The land and water conservation department will monitor the property for compliance under county ordinance. The resolution passed 25‑0.
