County approves comprehensive plan and zoning changes for parcel in Town of Lind

Waupaca County supervisors on March 19 adopted a comprehensive plan amendment and a zoning map amendment affecting a parcel in the Town of Lind.
Resolution No. 33 implements PLUM‑004‑2024 to remove approximately 6.558 acres from the Farmland Preservation Overlay and change the preferred land use of that portion from Agriculture to Commercial to allow proposed parcel reconfigurations along Airport Road. The Planning & Zoning Committee held a public hearing on February 13, 2024 and the Town of Lind approved the amendment; the county board adopted the resolution unanimously.
Separately, the board approved zoning amendment Z‑005‑2024 (petition by Stelse Realty LLC) to change the zoning designation from Agriculture Retention (AR) to Rural Commercial‑Neighborhood (RC‑N) for the described lands in Section 2. The county clerk certified enactment after the county board approved the change. The committee record notes the amendment was granted based on town approval and consistency with the town comprehensive plan.
The actions together change planning and zoning designations for the specified parcel to permit the owner’s proposed reconfiguration and commercial use consistent with town and county procedures.
