On the same matter the board approved ordinance Z‑023‑2023, petitioned by Terry E. & Julie A. Lind, to rezone the parcel from Agriculture Enterprise (AE) to Agriculture & Woodland Transition (AWT). Supervisor DuWayne Federwitz moved and Supervisor Fred Zaug seconded the zoning amendment; the motion carried 26‑0. The Planning & Zoning Committee had held a public hearing on Dec. 12, 2023, and the petition was supported by the Town of Little Wolf as consistent with the town’s comprehensive plan.
County documents cited Wisconsin Statutes 66.1001 as the authority for adopting and amending the comprehensive plan map and noted that the county has written procedures to encourage public participation during the amendment process. The ordinance will take effect after filing with the County Clerk a certified copy of the town board’s approving resolution or automatically 40 days after county adoption unless a disapproving certified copy is filed within ten days, per the ordinance language.
