The Waupaca County Board on April 17 approved a zoning map amendment (petition Z-007-2024) from Comma Café LLC to rezone a parcel in the Town of Farmington from Sewered Residential (SR) to Hamlet (H). The Planning & Zoning Committee recommended granting the petition after a public hearing; the Town of Farmington had approved the request and the county ordinance was enacted. Supervisor Cindy Hardy moved and Supervisor Peter Bosquez seconded the motion to approve the amendment to Chapter 34 of the county code; the motion carried 24-0.
The board also reviewed and adopted recommended amendments to Chapter 1, General Government. Corporation Counsel Diane Meulemans reviewed the proposed amendments. Supervisor Will moved and Supervisor Dennis Wengelski seconded the motion to approve the Chapter 1 amendments; the motion carried 24-0.
The zoning amendment will be effective in the Town of Farmington upon filing the town's certified resolution of approval with the County Clerk or 40 days after county adoption unless the town files a disapproving resolution within ten days, per the ordinance language. County Clerk Kristy K. Opperman certified enactment in the minutes.
