Waupaca County amends 2024 budget to fund $35.07 million courthouse renovation

The resolution also directs that expenditures incurred prior to bond issuance be covered from the General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance.
Supervisor Peter Bosquez moved the resolution and Supervisor Lois Bressette seconded. The motion carried 24-0. The minutes record the board's stated goal to put the courthouse "to its highest, safest, and most efficient state" for current and future employees and guests over the next 50 years, language that appears in the resolution text.
The resolution does not include a project schedule in the minutes; it authorizes funding and the use of ARPA funds and bonds as described. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.
