Council places multiple ceremonial naming measures on consent agenda and approves them unanimously

Baker Alley (noting Baker’s historical work documenting Black inventors); and Bill 26‑242 would name Sumner Road SE in Berry Farm as Marvin Slush Grosse Way in recognition of a local cultural figure.
Council members who introduced or sponsored the measures offered brief remarks about each honoree’s local contributions; general counsel and the budget director confirmed that the measures were legally and technically sufficient and that fiscal-impact statements complied with Council requirements. Each bill was placed on and approved from the consent agenda without recorded opposition.
