The Jefferson Davis Parish Tourist Commission unanimously named Vice Chairman Kori Myers as acting chairman through June 30, 2026, the end of the fiscal year, the commission recorded Oct. 21.
The action came on a motion by Ronnie Petree, seconded by Sammy LeJeune; the motion passed unanimously. During the same business meeting the commission also moved to remove Sheila Chapman as a signer on the commission’s accounts at First Guaranty Bank and to designate authorized signers as Carter Prejean (listed elsewhere in the minutes as Carter Ledbetter Prejean), Kori Myers, Kayla Doga and Ronald W. Petree. Ronnie Petree moved the change to bank signers; Kayla Doga seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioners also approved granting Monica Trahan full online access to the Tourist Commission’s checking and savings accounts after a motion by Kayla Doga and a second by Shelby LaFosse; that motion passed unanimously.
The votes recorded in the minutes are described as unanimous; the minutes do not include a roll-call tally. The commission approved routine items earlier in the meeting, including the agenda, the Sept. 9, 2025 minutes and the August 2025 financial reports.
The commission’s next regular meeting is set for noon Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at the Tourist Commission Administration office. Members were reminded to complete required ethics online training by Dec. 31, 2025.
