Fulton County commissioners approve minutes, payables and several administrative actions

Fulton County commissioners met Dec. 16 and handled routine administrative business including minutes approvals, payables, personnel actions and appointments.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve the Dec. 9, 2025 Commissioners' Meeting minutes and Retirement Board minutes; both motions were recorded as carried with the notation "All in favor." Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve payables dated Dec. 16, 2025, totaling $281,921.91. The minutes list a fund-level breakdown: Fund 100 General Fund $214,588.09; Fund 227 SFC Technology Grant $330.26; Fund 231 SFC Evidence Based Practice $142.50; Fund 238 911 $20,705.31; Fund 256 Domestic Relations $50.54; Fund 276 Opioid Settlement Funds $46,105.21. The motion to approve payables passed unanimously.
In department business, Commissioners met with Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress. Commissioner Hann moved to dismiss a Domestic Relations employee effective Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, and to advertise for an "Enforcement Officer 1" position both internally and externally; minutes record both motions as approved unanimously.
The board approved several administrative items: a retroactive software renewal for Momentive Software, Inc. for the Fiscal Department at an annual price of $1,660.48 (motion by Commissioner Wible); approval and execution of a request for inmate physician services at the Bedford County Correctional Facility submitted by the Sheriff's Department (motion by Commissioner Bunch); and approval and execution of an appointment letter for Thomas Peppernick to the Fulton County Industrial Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term to Dec. 31, 2027 (motion by Commissioner Bunch). Commissioner Hann moved to reappoint Margie McGuire (Contractor), Paula Shives (Member-at-Large), Thomas Morton (Elected Official) and Daniel Schriever (Member-at-Large) to the Fulton County Agricultural Land Preservation Board for two-year terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027; that motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Bunch moved to approve the 2026 Commissioners' Meeting dates for public advertisement in the Fulton County Newspaper; the motion passed. The minutes show two executive sessions for personnel matters: 9:36โ9:38 a.m. and 10:52โ11:30 a.m. A DCED financial monitoring interview listed for 11:30 a.m. was cancelled by DCED, which requested to meet with SEDA COG and the Chief Clerk instead. Commissioner Bunch moved to adjourn at 11:45 a.m.; the motion carried.
