Fulton County approves BFJRA board expansion, authorizes appointment of police officers and appoints one member

Fulton County commissioners unanimously approved two amendments to the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority's articles of incorporation and appointed a new member.
Representatives Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority asked the county to adopt amendments to the authority's articles. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve Resolution 9 of 2025, adopting an amendment to increase the number of board members; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Wible then moved to approve Resolution 10 of 2025, adopting an amendment to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who will have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to authority property; that motion also passed unanimously.
Following the approvals, Commissioner Wible moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027. The appointment was approved by unanimous vote.
The minutes record that the resolutions authorize the authority and its officers to execute and file appropriate articles of amendment; no further debate or conditions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
