Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 30 adopted the county's 2026 budget and approved the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution with no increase in taxes.
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute Resolution 8 of 2025, the Tax Levy and Appropriation Resolution for fiscal year 2026; the motion passed unanimously. Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed told the board there were no changes to the proposed budget since it was publicly advertised. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to adopt the proposed 2026 budget as presented by CFO Mike Lamb and Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board also approved the December 2025 Pension Report as presented by HR Administrator Mary Huston.
County officials said the adopted budget follows the publicly advertised plan and preserves current levy levels. The commissioners provided no additional changes during the meeting. The budget takes effect for fiscal year 2026 under the terms set by the county's appropriation resolution.
