Board appoints Jessica Saner to Mooresville Public Library board; Matt Saner abstains

Dr. Allen explained that last year's appointment of Jessica Saner had been limited to fill a vacancy; he recommended a full four-year term for the Brown Township resident. Mr. Matt Saner stated he would abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. The motion to appoint Jessica Saner was seconded and carried 4-0 with one abstention recorded.
The appointment was processed during the regular meeting following finance and budget items. The board did not record additional conditions or alternatives for the appointment during the discussion.
The appointment takes effect immediately as the board voted to fill the representative seat for the library board.
