School board approves contracts, fund transfers and policy updates in unanimous votes

Director of Finance Sarah Gizzi presented a new janitorial contract (Office Pride Service Agreement) for New Palestine High School; the board approved the contract on a 5-0 vote (motion by Brian McKinney, seconded by Amanda Wooton). The board also approved awarding the winning bid for the NPHS pool renovation project (motion by Jon Hooker, seconded by Dan Walker; vote 5-0).
To ensure positive end-of-year balances, the board approved two transfer resolutions: an Education Fund transfer to the Daycare Fund and a transfer from unspent line items into other accounts. Both transfers were approved unanimously; motions and supporting documentation were included in meeting attachments.
The board re-appointed Sarah Gizzi as Corporation Treasurer (bond $100,000) and Ashlie Worth as Deputy Treasurer (bond $50,000) in accordance with state statute; that motion passed 5-0. The Board also approved the recommended 2026–2027 Little Dragons Early Learning fee schedule (fee amounts listed in the meeting attachment) and authorized publication of the 2026–2027 Out-of-District Transfer Application on the district website in February.
Other consent business approved included payroll and claims for December 2025 and January 2026, a personnel report and the second reading of several policies (C525, D300, F100, F125, F176, F225). All motions passed unanimously.
