Logan County commissioners approve claims, permits and interlocal agreement; direct staff on several items

The board withheld payment on Claim #26030051 to Sioux City Tarp, Inc. and directed Highway Superintendent Richard Cook to contact the vendor and request that the original sales order be honored.
The board approved a bid from Eakes Office Solutions for a new courthouse copy machine and approved Utility Permit Applications from Custer Public Power District to install two three-phase electric powerlines with 4" HDPE crossings under County Road 40 and under Avenue 205. Those permit motions were made by Jon Hill, seconded by Nathan Kramer, and carried unanimously.
County Attorney Andrew Van Velson presented a draft Interlocal Agreement with Lincoln County on Veterans Service Officer duties and the board approved signing the draft; Van Velson will forward it to the Lincoln County Attorney and the Lincoln County Commissioners for their consideration.
The board discussed, without deciding, a county credit card policy for officials and directed Van Velson to draft a policy for the next meeting. The Safety Committee asked that the courthouse south-entrance railing be replaced; the board asked Highway Superintendent Richard Cook to assign part-time road employee Kenneth Jividen to complete the repair.
