City Manager Dennis Baxley presented the changes: a charge of $6.92 per 1,000 gallons for any water delivered in excess of the contracted 432,000 gallons per day; a clause giving the City Manager unilateral authority to halt deliveries during an emergency; and a requirement that the city’s engineer ensure controls are adequate to limit flow to the contracted maximum. Council voted to approve the agreement and authorized staff to send the revised agreement to Hoke County for that body’s approval.
