The Raeford City Council approved an updated Memorandum of Understanding for the Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) after a presentation by Luther Langley, transportation planner for FAMPO’s Transportation Advisory Committee.
Langley said the updated MOU expands the MPO to include more of Harnett and Cumberland counties, a small portion of Moore County and the town of Erwin. The update also adds representation from Fayetteville Technical Community College, Methodist University and the Hoke and Harnett County school boards to the Transportation Coordinating Committee.
Councilman Ricky Sandy moved to approve the updated MOU and Councilman Johnny Boyles seconded the motion; the council voted unanimously to approve the memorandum of understanding.
