Council hears Tolan Square update; clerk reports absentee ballots mailed

No members of the public spoke during the citizen-comment periods. In staff and council reports, City Clerk Lavonna Wenzel told the council that absentee ballots were mailed on June 27.
Councilmember Snyder said he is looking forward to the next meeting’s discussion of economic development and shared details about an upcoming Milan Garden Club event. Snyder also provided an update on the Tolan Square project, thanking contributors and volunteers for their work.
Mayor Pro-Tem Wayne announced that the Beautification Commission has committed to ongoing upkeep of the plants and flowers planted in the new Tolan Square. Councilmember Kerkes extended Independence Day greetings to those present.
The council set its next regular meeting for July 16, 2024.
