The OHM draft includes: tennis and pickleball courts (100 by 120 feet), a fitness-circuit area with approximately 15 components, new play equipment, shaded seating adjacent to a proposed splash pad, a full-size basketball court (94 by 50 feet), two bathrooms and an optional concession window, picnic tables, benches and landscaping. The draft plan provided to council notes these elements as concepts rather than final specifications.
Council members asked questions about site layout and next steps for design and public input; Jennifer Morris remained available to answer follow-up questions. The council did not take a formal vote on the park plan during the meeting; the plan was presented as a draft for further review and coordination through staff and consultants.
What happens next: staff will continue planning under the Spark Grant process and return with additional details and potential funding or timing recommendations for council consideration.
