Mayor Jesse Grof presented the mayoral appointment of Deborah Goracke to the Handibus Board. Councilmember Lorie Topp moved to approve the appointment and Councilmember Alicia Brommer seconded; the council voted unanimously (6–0) to confirm the appointment.
The council also considered a quote from Midwest Floor Covering for a non‑slip surface in the pool bathhouse totaling $45,424. Councilmember Alicia Brommer moved to approve the quote; Councilmember Travis Goracke seconded. The motion carried unanimously.
On the consent agenda, Councilmember Lorie Topp moved and Councilmember Lance Beethe seconded a motion to approve the Dec. 15, 2025 meeting minutes and authorize payment of city bills. The agenda listed vendor payments and payroll, with a total of $90,231.30. Large listed items included payroll ($37,766.87) and a $17,500 payment to the Johnson County treasurer; other vendors and amounts were listed in the minutes. The consent motion passed 6–0.
