Tecumseh council approves park repairs, $703,869 power-plant draw and several property actions

Parks: Council approved a $43,100 quote from Pro Track & Tennis to improve the park’s tennis and basketball courts. Councilmember Lorie Topp moved to approve the quote and Councilmember Brian Britt seconded. The motion carried with Councilmembers Lance Beethe, Brian Britt, Tyler Speckmann and Lorie Topp voting aye; Alicia Brommer and Travis Goracke were absent.
Pay application and power plant work: The council approved Pay Application No. 3 from Farabee Mechanical for the Power Plant Project in the amount of $703,869.91. Councilmember Lorie Topp moved for approval and Councilmember Tyler Speckmann seconded; the same four members present voted aye.
Economic development and land actions: The council approved an agreement to transfer an Economic Development lot and approved a contract for sale by the Economic Development authority to Chanco Properties, LLC (motion by Councilmember Tyler Speckmann to approve the transfer; motion by Councilmember Lance Beethe to approve the sale). Council also approved an application and resolution for a lot split submitted by Rachel Walters as PR for the Benjamin E. Walters Estate (motion by Councilmember Lorie Topp, second by Councilmember Brian Britt). All motions were recorded as carried with the four members present voting aye.
Administration: The council formed a wage committee and selected Councilmembers Brian Britt and Lorie Topp to serve as the council’s representatives.
