Parkdale Community Plan first reading moved; staff and consultant presented plan materials
Summary
The county’s Community Development director and a consultant presented the Parkdale Rural Unincorporated Community Plan during the work session. A proposed ordinance first reading and public hearing were discussed but Chair Euwer indicated the item would be rescheduled for October.
Eric Walker, Hood River County Community Development Director, introduced the Parkdale Rural Unincorporated Community Plan work session. Consultant Matt Hastie of MIG Inc. presented materials and a PowerPoint included in the meeting packet detailing proposed plan elements and next steps.
The agenda listed a recommendation to conduct a first reading of the Parkdale Community Plan ordinance and to set a public hearing for Sept. 16, 2024. At the business meeting the Chair indicated that the item was being rescheduled for October rather than proceeding with the September reading and hearing as recommended in the packet.
No ordinance reading or final action was taken at the Aug. 19 meeting; staff and the consultant presented background materials to support a rescheduled ordinance consideration in the coming weeks.
