Waupaca County board closes budget hearing with no public comment, approves UWEX contract and hears reports

The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors opened and then closed the public hearing on the proposed 2024 budget and Transportation Services Program 85.21 after the chair called three times for public input and none was offered. Supr. Bosquez moved and Supr. D. Johnson seconded to open the hearing; Supr. Zaug moved and Supr. Federwitz seconded to close it. Both motions carried 25-0.
The board approved the UWEX Contracted Services Agreement by motion (Supr. Wengelski moved; Supr. McClone seconded); the vote was recorded as 25-0. Vice Chair Dave Morack presented the Employee Veteran Roll of Honor. Chair Dick Koeppen and Vice Chair Morack delivered their monthly reports. Chair Koeppen placed correspondence on file for November, including a notice about “2023 Operation Green Light,” and announced the December County Board meeting is scheduled for Dec. 19, 2023. The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 a.m.
