The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors on April 18 approved a package of resolutions that will reorganize local aging services, designate a safety awareness week, accept a private donation for senior meals, convey a remnant road parcel, and authorize a county wetland mitigation bank.
The board voted 27-0 to authorize the Health and Human Services Board to create a stand-alone Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) and an accompanying ADRC Advisory Committee. The resolution states that current state funding for the regional ADRC consortium (Calumet, Outagamie and Waupaca counties) no longer meets each county’s cost requirements and that State of Wisconsin guidance indicates Waupaca County would be in a better financial position operating its own ADRC.
