Fulton County commissioners approve routine spending, contract and grant support; proclaim March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners met Feb. 24, 2026, in McConnellsburg and approved routine minutes, multiple invoices and contracts, and several administrative reports and letters. Commissioners Randy H. Bunch, Steven L. Wible and Hervey P. Hann voted unanimously on each recorded motion.

The board approved accounts payable dated Feb. 24, 2026, totaling $205,405.27, with $118,593.19 charged to the General Fund and remaining amounts allocated across Liquid Fuels, SFC grants, CDBG, Act 13 recreational funds, Medical Assistance Transportation and Debt Service. The minutes record the vote as "All in favor."

Among contracts and invoices, the board approved a Purchase of Service Agreement with Pressley Ridge for child welfare services effective Feb. 11, 2026, through June 30, 2026; an Elect IT Solutions invoice of $10,198.00 for March 2026 IT staffing and support; and a CCAP PComp installment payment of $5,575.00 (third of four installments toward a $22,300.00 total). The minutes state John Schriever of Sideling Hill Financial reviewed the Krivak Trust accounts and reported the two accounts have earned $161,000.00 since he began management.

The commissioners approved an invoice from Huntingdon County for the remainder of an NTIA project contribution in the amount of $270,000.00 (the minutes note $90,000 was previously paid). The board also approved a 2026 compensation plan for Services for Children Director Christine McQuade to be submitted to the state for wage compensation.

The board approved a Letter of Recommendation supporting MainStreet McConnellsburg’s application for a T‑Mobile Community Grant to modernize downtown street lighting, and accepted a "Report of County Fee for Local Use Funds" to be submitted to PennDOT as presented by Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives.

Elections Director and Recycling Coordinator Linda Doyle presented a flyer for two electronics and appliance recycling days to be held March 18 (12–5 p.m.) and March 21 (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) at 610 East North Street, McConnellsburg; the board approved the event.
