During the 5:00 p.m. work session July 15, Hood River County commissioners received a briefing on MCEDD’s Brownfield Revitalization Assistance program.
Lindsay McClure of MCEDD and Leonard Farr of Sten Tech presented the program and materials included in the meeting packet. The presenters described their work coordinating technical assistance and revitalization planning; the packet contains a fuller presentation and program details. No formal action or vote accompanied the presentation.
County Administrator Allison Williams introduced Cori Wiessner as Hood River County’s new Public Works Director. The board also received a short update from Kenny Lawson, president of Columbia Gorge Community College, who said he has served in the role for just under a year and shared a PowerPoint included in the meeting packet.
The presentations were informational; the board did not take action on the Brownfield program or the college update at the July 15 meeting. Staff indicated the wildfire preparedness presentation planned for the work session was postponed after presenters were called away for wildfire response and will be rescheduled.
