Hood River County commissioners approve consent agenda with condition on Porter Subdivision

At its July 15 meeting, the Hood River County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a consent agenda covering items A through I, with one modification to the Porter Subdivision Plat sign-off.

County Administrator Allison Williams asked that the recommendation for Consent Agenda item D be modified to read: “Approve signing the final Porter Subdivision Plat after final review by the county surveyor.” Commissioner Chad Babitz moved to approve the consent agenda with that modification and also requested an annual report from USDA related to the Wildlife Services contract (Consent item F). Commissioner Muenzer seconded the motion, and the board voted 4–0 in favor.

Consent items approved included authorization for Budget & Finance to submit two nomination forms for the MCEDD Brownfield Revitalization Assistance program; declaration of a 2016 Ford Escape and 14 printers as surplus; authorization to dispose of old forestry desks and supplies; authorization to proceed with a qualification-based services RFP for courthouse and county administrative building consolidation/analysis; approval of the USDA Wildlife Services contract for Hood River County; changes to Section 4-A of the Administrative Code governing grants; an ORMAP intergovernmental agreement (#DOR-060-24); and approval of prior meeting minutes from May 20 and June 17, 2024.

The motion passed unanimously; recorded votes were Commissioner Weathers—yes; Commissioner Muenzer—yes; Commissioner Babitz—yes; Chair Euwer—yes. The Porter Subdivision Plat will not be signed until the county surveyor completes a final review, and the board requested an annual report from USDA on the Wildlife Services contract ahead of future budget considerations.

The consent vote closed the consent portion of the meeting and the board moved on to New Business.
