Board approves consent agenda and multiple appointments; all motions pass unanimously

On Jan. 21 the Hood River County Board approved the consent agenda, reappointed and appointed several community members to boards and commissions, elected a vice chair, and adopted committee assignments; all recorded motions carried unanimously.
Hood River County commissioners voted unanimously on a series of routine and work-session actions during their Jan. 21 meeting.
The consent agenda — which included tax refunds, multiple intergovernmental agreements (Wasco County behavioral health deflection program; City of Hood River training IGA; MCEDD Mt. Hood Town Hall microgrid IGA), surplus-equipment declarations, grant application authorizations (Travel Oregon; FHWA PROTECT program; Oregon Department of Energy resilience grant), a liquor-license confirmation, budget-calendar approval and the FY2023 audit Corrective Action Plan — was approved on a single motion by Commissioner Babitz and seconded by Commissioner Muenzer.
Work-session appointments and reappointments approved included: Chris Robuck and Joseph G. Betzing to the Budget Committee; James Loomis to the Fair Board; Ruth Chausse, Mark H. Chamley and Corey Hoffman to the Recreation Trails Committee; Nathan D. DeVol to the Mt Hood Economic Alliance Board; and Jay Lyman and Erick von Lubken to the Planning Commission. Each appointment motion carried with unanimous recorded votes.
Commissioner Weathers moved and the Board approved electing Commissioner Muenzer as 2025 Vice Chair. Commissioner Babitz's motion to adopt the 2025 commissioner committee assignment list, modified to include city-liaison roles for him and Commissioner Moretti, also passed unanimously.
All recorded votes in the meeting were recorded as unanimous yes votes by the five commissioners present.
