The Hood River County Board of Commissioners appointed Jamie Loomis to the District 4 vacancy on the Planning Commission after interviewing Loomis and another candidate on March 17.
Board members discussed Loomis’s local experience, including service on the Fair Board, and the Planning Commission’s upcoming workload (Odell Community Plan and two FEMA projects). Commissioner Weathers moved to appoint Loomis; Commissioner Muenzer seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately the Board accepted the resignation of Mike Fox from the Hood River–White Salmon Bridge Authority (HRWSBA). Commissioners agreed to follow the appointment process in Resolution 2529 and to conduct interviews to fill that vacancy at the May 19 Board meeting. County Counsel Lisa Davies confirmed the process.
No contested votes or amendments were recorded.
