Hood River County adopts $500,000 CET supplemental budget to fund Rand Road project

The Hood River County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on March 17 to adopt a supplemental budget resolution transferring $500,000 in construction excise tax (CET) dollars to the City of Hood River for the Rand Road project under an existing intergovernmental agreement (IGA).
Administrator Williams explained staff executed an IGA with the City to appropriate $500,000 in CET dollars for the Rand Road project; during the meeting Commissioner Babitz pointed out a typographical error in the presented budget document that listed $500,002. Commissioner Babitz moved to adopt the resolution with the corrected figure ($500,000); Commissioner Moretti seconded and the motion carried with all commissioners voting yes.
The Board’s action authorizes the county to transfer the funds to the City as determined in the IGA. No amendments to the IGA were reported during the meeting. The county did not record any dissenting votes.
The Board continued other scheduled business following the vote.
