Barnesville Police Department earns state certification; city leaders commend staff

Glass said there are more than 700 law enforcement agencies in Georgia and only 118 agencies have achieved state certification by meeting 118 standards. He commended Chief Charles S. Keadle for his leadership, Major Craig Cooper for his work, and the department staff for embracing the process.
Mayor Peter L. Banks and the council recorded the recognition in the minutes and unanimously approved the meeting minutes. The certification is recorded as a distinct accomplishment in the city's 2015 meeting records.
