Davis County commissioners approved two related facilities items for county golf courses: purchase of 80 Yamaha golf carts for Valley View and a two-year social-media marketing contract with Fairways Media covering both Davis Park and Valley View.
Dustin presented the procurement details and framed the purchase as an enterprise-fund transaction (golf course funds). He reported trade-in and prior sales would reduce the county's cash outlay: "So our true out of pocket expense for this new fleet is only gonna be a 194,000," Dustin said. He also broke out earlier transactions that reduced net cost (a $100,000 trade-in value included in the sale and prior EasyGo sales that generated $154,000).
Dustin also described a service agreement with Fairways Media to provide social-media marketing to both courses. "This will be the third contract we've renewed with them. It's a payable of $5,000 a year to each golf course... Total amount for the agreement is $20,000 over the course of the 2 years," he said.
Commissioners thanked golf course staff for their work and approved both items unanimously. Staff said delivery and implementation timing will be coordinated with the courses' renovation schedules and that the carts are expected to be delivered in February if schedules hold.
The board did not place additional conditions on procurement beyond standard county procedures.
