Board pares WASDA delegation size amid budget caution; affirms First Friday outreach

"Let's go from 6 people down to 2 people, and we'll figure out who those 2 people are then," one board member said; others agreed this would preserve conference access while demonstrating a reduction in travel spending. There was no formal vote recorded; staff will follow up on registration details and identify who will attend.
Separately, board members reported that First Friday downtown outreach events have drawn more residents than previous coffee hours and were effective at sharing the strategic plan and safety information. The board agreed to schedule recurring representation for First Fridays and to plan site visits (Camas High and Cascadia Tech) in the coming weeks.
No formal motions or budget approvals were made at the workshop; staff will return with registration details and cost breakdowns as requested.
