Recent graduate urges more earthquake-preparedness education and resources in schools

"A lot of kids ... didn't really fully understand."
Board members listened but did not take formal action during the meeting on Chase's request. The chair reminded commentators of the three-minute limit and asked that speakers identify their name, city, and relationship to the district before commenting.
The public-comment exchange was brief and focused on student safety education rather than a change to district policy or budgets; trustees did not schedule follow-up at the meeting.
