Carbon County commissioners approve routine payroll, contracts and appointments

The Carbon County Board of Commissioners on March 5 unanimously approved routine minutes, payroll and dozens of contracts, purchases and appointments covering county operations, courts, corrections and planning.

The board accepted the minutes of Feb. 19, 2026 (agenda item #26-137) and ratified payroll totaling $726,725.23 (agenda item #26-142). Commissioners approved multiple expenditure transmittals, including checks totaling $1,021,540.27 (agenda item #26-143) and $3,072,641.62 (agenda item #26-144). Treasurer reports showing fund balances as of Feb. 20 and Feb. 28, 2026 were accepted (agenda item #26-145).

The meeting included approval of procurement and service agreements: conversion of archival microfilm to digital imagery with Reynolds Business Systems ($34,521.87, #26-149); replacement of two correctional rooftop water heaters with A&W Plumbing ($39,800, #26-154); D&A treatment agreements with Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug & Alcohol Commission for general treatment services ($72,087, #26-155) and opioid-use-disorder treatment ($77,863, #26-156); a treatment court coordinator agreement billed to opioid settlement funds ($53,582, #26-163); an OSSI support renewal with Pye Barker Fire & Safety ($2,048, #26-157) and ratification of a Trane heat-exchanger proposal ($29,766, #26-158).
