Residents ask board about kindergarten age and arts programs; PEA president praises superintendent

During the public-comment portions of the Dec. 16 meeting of the Pennsauken Township Board of Education, community members raised questions and made requests about curriculum and programs.
During the agenda-items comment period, Ashley Sweeney asked whether agenda Item 28 (related to technology/facility review) would alter the district’s kindergarten starting-age requirement. The agenda did not include a policy change to kindergarten age, and no board action changing kindergarten entry requirements was recorded at the meeting.
Shawn Brown asked the board to describe the planned dance and theatre programs listed under curriculum Item 32.
