Pennsauken board awards school physician contract and multiple special-education vendor agreements

For special education services, the board approved awards to multiple providers with hourly rates and services specified in the RFP evaluation. Vendors and sample rates listed in the packet include Advanced Education Centers (Child Study Team $88/hr; para $38/hr), Behavior Interventions (BCBA $120/hr; tech $63/hr; an estimated annual figure of $796,846.54 appears in the evaluation summary), Brett DiNovi & Associates (clinical rates noted), and several others covering occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech services. The resolution specifies the awards are for the 2025–26 school year and may be renewable under the terms described in the bid documents.
The board also awarded IFB purchases and cooperative contract purchases for athletics supplies (total bid awards ~$61,997.90) and approved IFB awards for food-service commodities: Georgeos Water Ice Inc. for ice cream ($5,858.70) and Cream O’Land Dairy for milk and juice (estimated $518,424.80 for the 2025–26 year). The motion to award these bids was recorded as carried.
Business Administrator John Ogunkanmi and the evaluation committee documented that the special education awards followed the Request for Proposals and that awardees met required criteria; the board record notes that some vendor estimates represent projected annual expenditures and that final costs will depend on service utilization and individual student placements.
Next steps: contracts will be executed by the Business Office and vendors onboarding for services prior to the start of the school year.
