Resident raises concern about bus-incident communications as board approves executive-session personnel and PEA matters

A Pennsauken resident used the board’s public-comment period on Oct. 14 to raise a concern about district communications during transportation incidents.
Kevin Dunn told the board that parents were not receiving proper communications during bus accidents or incidents. The minutes record the complaint but do not show an immediate board response or a recorded follow-up action in the meeting packet.
Earlier in the meeting the board moved into executive session at 6:35 p.m. to discuss pending or anticipated litigation and contract negotiations related to PEA agreements and to consider employment and employee separation matters. The executive session was recorded as carried and the board reconvened to public session at approximately 7:20 p.m.
Following the public session, the board approved its consent agenda of items 1–59 and addendum items including personnel appointments and construction payment applications. At the end of the meeting Superintendent Dr. James Bevere welcomed Anastasia Michals as the incoming Assistant Superintendent, pending required county approval noted on the addendum.
