New district attorney sworn in; county departments deliver reports and Emergency Fire Wardens approved

The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors received several routine reports and took personnel/appointment actions at its Jan. 17 meeting.
Kat Turner introduced herself and was noted as recently sworn in as Waupaca County District Attorney. Chris Viau presented the UW Extension impact statement and introduced new staff member Tiffany Iliadis. Jesse Cuff delivered the Veterans Service Office 2022 annual report. Mike Mazemke and Jeremy Schoenike presented the Register of Deeds 2022 annual report. Chair Dick Koeppen and Vice Chair Dave Morack delivered their customary board reports.
During appointments, Supervisor Neumann excused himself at 9:38 a.m. prior to the vote. The board approved the recommended Emergency Fire Wardens as submitted by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources; the motion carried 23-0 given the excusal. The board adjourned at 9:59 a.m.
No personnel actions beyond introductions and the appointment vote were recorded in the minutes. The meeting record lists the County Clerk, Kristy K. Opperman, as attesting to minutes and Corporation Counsel Diane L. Meulemans as approving form on resolutions.
