The Waupaca County Board of Supervisors on June 21 adopted a series of measures including a donation acceptance, three zoning map amendments and several appointments.
Donation: Resolution No. 10 authorized acceptance of a $1,900 donation from TreeHouse Foods, Inc. to support the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team. County policy requires board approval for donations over $1,000. The resolution was adopted following a motion by Supervisor Bosquez and a second from Supervisor Hardy; the vote carried 23-0 with one abstention.
Zoning amendments: The board approved three zoning map amendments recommended by the Planning & Zoning Committee and supported by the relevant towns. Petition Z-008-2022 (Town of Larrabee) rezoned about three acres from Agriculture Retention (AR) to Rural Residential Overlay (RR-O); the motion was made by Supervisor Federwitz and seconded by Supervisor Nygaard and carried 24-0. Petition Z-009-2022 (Town of Lebanon) amended roughly five acres from AR to Agriculture and Woodland Transition (AWT); Supervisor Zaug moved and Supervisor Hardy seconded, and the motion passed 24-0. Petition Z-010-2022 (Town of Dayton) rezoned about 4.405 acres from AWT to Rural Residential (RR); Supervisor Miller moved, Supervisor Nygaard seconded and the motion carried 24-0.
Appointments: The board re-appointed Art Richardson and Jack Fulcher to the Board of Adjustment for three-year terms and appointed Michele Strebe to the Board of Adjustment for a three-year term. Supervisor Nygaard moved the Strebe appointment; motions for the reappointments were moved and seconded on the record. The board also appointed Supervisor Cindy Hardy to the Greenways Commission. All recorded appointment motions carried unanimously.
