Waupaca County clerk of circuit court announces retirement; board hears annual reports and confirms appointments

The Waupaca County Board on Dec. 20 heard annual reports and approved multiple appointments. Sheriff Wilz provided the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department 2021 annual report. Clerk of Circuit Court Terrie Tews presented the court clerk’s 2021 annual report, announced her retirement and introduced her successor, Yvette Kienert, who is scheduled to begin in January 2023.
The board acted on appointments during the meeting. It re-appointed Brandy Suprise to the Veteran’s Service Commission for a three-year term (motion Supr. D. Johnson; second Supr. Bosquez; vote 26-0) and re-appointed Michelle Frola to the OWLS Board for a three-year term (motion Supr. Malvik-Shower; second Supr. Nygaard; vote 26-0). The board appointed Tammy Strey-Hirt to the Regional ADRC Advisory Committee (motion Supr. Murphy; second Supr. Wengelski); that motion carried 25-0 with one abstention. Nancy Gartzke was also appointed to the Regional ADRC Advisory Committee (motion Supr. Golding; second Supr. Strey-Hirt; vote 26-0).
County Board Chair Dick Koeppen and Vice Chair Dave Morack presented leadership reports; correspondence placed on file included a DHHS volunteer-driver request, an HR newsletter, and the 2023 County Paper of the Year award for the Waupaca County Post. The board adjourned at 10:01 a.m.
