Waupaca County approves three land-use and zoning amendments for Larrabee, Lebanon and Lind

Waupaca County supervisors on Feb. 21 approved a package of land-use and zoning changes affecting three towns after county planning staff and the town boards recommended each petition.
The board adopted Resolution No. 38 (PLUM-003) to amend the county comprehensive plan map for the Town of Lind, changing approximately 6.26 acres in Section 21 from Agriculture to Residential to allow a parcel split. The resolution cites Wisconsin Statutes 66.1001, notes a public hearing was held and states the town found the amendment consistent with its comprehensive plan. Supervisor Hardy moved and Supervisor Golding seconded the adoption; the vote was 24-0.
The board also approved three zoning petitions: Z-001-2023 (Town of Larrabee) to change a parcel from Rural Residential (RR) to Agriculture & Woodland Transition (AWT); Z-002-2023 (Town of Lebanon) to change a parcel from RR to AWT; and Z-003-2023 (Town of Lind) to rezone about 6.26 acres from Agriculture Enterprise (AE) to RR. Each petition had a county public hearing, was recommended by the Planning & Zoning Committee and carried a 24-0 vote when presented to the county board.
The county clerk certified adoption of the ordinances where required. The zoning actions will take effect following the filing and certification steps noted in county procedures.
