Fulton County approves replacement of dispatch clocks and emergency-services agreements

EMA/911 Director Brian Barton told the board the dispatch clocks in the dispatch center are more than 20 years old and 'in dire need of replacement.' Barton said 'Pre Alert' is in place and that the information has been sent to fire departments. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve a ComPros quote to replace two dispatch clocks, including hardware and installation, in the amount of $4,940.00; the motion was recorded as approved 'all in favor.'
Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute the 2026 Mission Critical Partners Regional Support Contract for professional services; meeting minutes note the contract is fully grant funded and the motion was approved.
Commissioner Bunch moved to approve a two-year Hazmat Team agreement with McCUTCHEON Enterprises, Inc., with payment amounts of $2,500.00 for FY2026 and $7,500.00 for FY2027; that motion passed 'all in favor.'
Why it matters: the purchases and contracts support county emergency communications and hazmat response capability. The Mission Critical Partners contract is grant funded, which limits county budget impact for that item.
