At the Jan. 6 Snowflake Town Council work session, town staff presented a schedule of transportation and roadwork projects for 2026 and beyond, including timing for bids, paving and intersection improvements.
Staff member Brian Richards summarized the near‑term work: the 2nd East project at the 7th South light near APS is underway, the Rodeo Road bid is planned to go out by June, and Rodeo Road west of Centennial is expected to be paved this summer. Richards said the traffic light at Concho Road should be completed by February and that the town has money in escrow to have Circle K complete related work.
He added that roundabouts at 7th and Centennial are anticipated in 2027 after engineering review, and that Painted Sky engineering is working on Porter Road. Richards also noted a need for an additional entrance into the West Garden neighborhood and said staff are coordinating with Phil Stratton and Jerem Hatch on long‑range connector routes.
No formal votes were taken; council asked staff to continue coordination with ADOT and engineering consultants and return with updated timelines and bid documents.
