Raeford council approves multiple rezones and a 13‑lot subdivision; resident’s fencing request included

At its July 9 meeting the Raeford City Council unanimously approved several land-use requests brought forward from the Planning Board, including multiple rezones to accommodate manufactured homes and a subdivision with a fencing stipulation to address neighbor concerns.
Code Administrator Felecia Locklear told the council that the Planning Board had reviewed each application and recommended approval in every case. The council opened and closed public hearings for each item and voted, without recorded opposition, to approve rezoning requests from Highway Commercial or R-6/R-8 to the requested districts:
