Lake Stevens School Board approves consent agenda, certifies 2025 excess property taxes and accepts public-works projects

The Lake Stevens School District Board of Directors unanimously approved a package of routine but substantive items at its Nov. 13, 2024 regular meeting, including payroll and warrants, personnel actions and the certification of 2025 excess property taxes.
Director David Iseminger moved to approve the Consent Agenda, which included Warrant Nos. 314524 to 314732 totaling $1,149,170.28, payroll for October 2024 totalling $12,929,324.63, personnel hires and separations, authorization for fall sports and band and choir overnight trips, and a $300 donation to the district pool; Director Paul Lund seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Director Paul Lund moved to adopt Resolution No. 18-24, "Certification of 2025 Excess Property Taxes for General Fund, Debt Service Fund and Capital Projects Fund," Director Nina Hanson seconded, and the board adopted the resolution by roll call vote. No opposing votes were recorded.
The board also approved district representatives’ attendance at the Washington State School Directors' Association conference in Spokane Nov. 21–23, 2024, and later in the meeting unanimously accepted final completion of several public-works projects after the Operations Department reported contractor work and required documentation were complete. Projects noted included installation of electrical circuits for CTE displays, intercom and stadium lighting service, replacement of electronic locks and broken windows, and repairs to stage lighting and bleacher controls.
No public comments were offered on these items during the meeting. The actions taken were procedural approvals that allow payroll, capital and facilities work to proceed under existing budgets and contracts.
