The Milan City Council on March 21 approved a Line Extension Agreement with DTE and authorized payment of bills and payroll totaling $286,127.63.
Councilperson Baldwin moved to approve the DTE line-extension agreement; Councilperson Kofflin seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. Later in the meeting Councilmember Nie moved to pay the bills as presented, Councilmember Kerkes seconded, and that motion also carried unanimously.
The council approved its consent agenda — which included the February building and code enforcement report, acceptance of a Parks & Recreation resignation, appointment of Brendan Rafko-Roberts to the Parks & Recreation Commission, and permits for the Milan Pride Parade (June 10) and the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive (April 1–2) — by unanimous vote.
City Administrator Jim Lancaster and Treasurer Sarah Finch were thanked by council members for their work during recent budget workshops; no budget vote occurred at this meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m.; the council set its next regular meeting for April 4, 2023.
